Even my own mother – my biggest fan – commented on how my physical appearance had deteriorated.
The scale told the nightmare true story.
I’d packed on more than 30 pounds of flab the jiggled like jello. From a lean 170 pounds to a Humpty Dumpty looking 200+ pounds.

Seeing the number on the scale zoom over 200 pounds was the last straw.
That’s when I started studying and researching diet, nutrition, and fitness on a whole new level.

How I could be so much bigger and fatter frustrated me. Perhaps you can relate.
If you can name a popular diet, I’ve probably tried it:
Counting calories, eliminating certain foods or entire groups of food (like fats or carbs), or even measuring and weighing foods was WAY too much work for me.
Few humans have the discipline and willpower to stick to such restrictive and demanding diets. Eventually you quit and return to your old familiar eating habits.
That’s when the weight comes back and clings to every part of your body.
I knew I needed to find something I could stick to for the long-term. Not just for a few weeks or months. Short-term diets are not a good solution for long-term health.
Same with exercise programs:
Only to find out the class I wanted to take was full!
Trying to do circuit training at the gym was a nightmare. There was always some buffoon sitting on the leg press machine like he was lounging on his couch.
And watching exercise videos is tough because those workouts are SO L-O-N-G! And some of the exercises are quite confusing and difficult too.
There had to be a better way. A simple program for eating and exercising that didn’t present so many obstacles.
Something I could stick to long-term while still enjoying my life. Eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted knowing I could easily maintain my ideal weight.
I’ll explain the growing Silver Fox movement in a moment.
Christian and I have a lot in common. Yet in some ways, we’re opposites.
Like “The Odd Couple” from the famous television show – Felix Unger and Oscar Madison – as you’ll soon see.
Yet like Frank Sinatra, We Did It Our Way. And we did it differently.
That gives you the advantage of having multiple paths to choose from. Both are proven and successful. Choose what makes the most sense to you.
Unfortunately, he sacrificed his health in pursuit of wealth just like you and I.
Thanks to his impressive linebacker physique, he was called “Body Beautiful” at his country club.
But that all came crashing down to reality. The more successful his hosting business got, the more time he devoted to growing it.
And the less time he focused on his fitness and nutrition. Before he knew it, “Body Beautiful” had turned into a fat tub of goo.
As a former Division I athlete, he was disgusted with his body. Like me, he went on a mission to find the solution.
Today he’s back to his muscular 6’ 2”, 220-pound frame. He’s in better shape now than when he played college football.
On the other hand, I have zero certifications. I’m a fitness and nutrition bookworm. I never cared about certifications. Results matter more than fancy titles to me.
All I cared about was testing everything and figuring out what works best for me.
